Is Agitation Normal While On Claritin And Methylphenidate?
MY GRANDSON IS TAKING METHYLPHENIDATE CD 20 MG ONCE A DAY FOR ADHD AND AUTISM, BUT WAS RECENTLY STARTED ON CHILDREN S CLARITIN 5MG (2 A DAY) AND SEEMS TO BE AGITATED AND MORE FRUSTRATED THAN NORMAL. IS THIS DO TO AN INTERACTION? HIS PARENTS ARE ON A CRUISE FOR 10 MORE DAYS.
Hi, I have read your question and I see no cause for concern. Claritin and Methylphenidate do not interact together. It may be that your grandson is missing his parents or some other issues with his friends or something he saw on TV. But I repeat that you don't have to concern about drug interactions. I hope I have answered your question. Wish your grandson good health! Manoku Eni M.D.
