Is Alcohol Advisable While On Dilantin Prescribed For Seizures?

Hi, I would like to know 1) How long should Dilantin be used? 2) How much alcohol can be consumed if any at all? 3) what test can be performed to see how frequently seizure occur and when the last seizure occurred? 4) when taken Dilantin and consuming alcohol is driving ok? 5) When on Dilantin and consuming alcohol what are the side effects and how long does the side effects last?

Hello,

Alcohol must be avoided, alcohol might decrease the seizure threshold and there is high chance for seizures if you take alcohol along with Dilantin.
