Is Alcohol Withdrawal Symptom A Cause Of Concern?

Hi, I m in college and it s the beginning of the summer semester. I ve gone out and have gotten pretty drunk everyday Tuesday-Saturday. I haven t drank today (Sunday) and believe I m feeling alcohol withdrawal symptoms. This has never happened to me before but how common is this and how worried should I be?

Hello,

Alcohol withdrawal symptoms develop after some hours after the last drink (around 8 hours if you are not using alcohol) and they may be quite dangerous as they affect your thinking and sensation. Patients may also have hallucinations and strange sensations on the skin.
It is important to talk to a doctor and get help on how to safely withdraw from alcohol.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
