Is Alopecia Totalis Considered As Disability?

is alopecia considered a disability as far as work goes? I fear my job will fire me or force me to quit because I have to wear a hat, and a hat is unacceptable according to my job. I need to know my rights and if they are allowed to fire. is this considered a disability?

Hi,

No,not at all. Alopecia totalis is not a disability and does not become disturbance in any job. It is a just a cosmetic problem. If you feel embarassing , you may go for wearing wig. So, do not worry. Do not wear hat,but have nice wig on your head. That would improve your personality. Nobody will abuse you..ok

Have nice life.

Thanks.
