Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I forgot if I took my effexor tonight or not. I take 75 mg. I started 2 weeks ago, today. I m 30, 6 4, 205 lbs. I take it for ptsd symptoms from a war. I took my dose tonight, not remembering if I had already taken it. Was that a bad idea? What would happen if I took 2 doses, and what should I have done? Thanks
There are some persons who use up to 225 mg a day, this is 3 times the dose that you would normally use.
The dose is adjusted according to the effect on symptoms and effects experienced.
This means that though the dose is high for you compared to what you normally use, it is still a dose that can be used. You should be okay but if you remain concerned then you should see or speak to your doctor.
I hope this helps
