Is An Open Hole About The Size Of A Dime After Bartholin Gland Removal A Cause For Concern?

I had my bartholin gland removed on Tuesday last week. By Saturday all the stitches fell out and there is about a open hole about the size of a dime. I saw my gynaecologist today and he said this is ok but I have read many articles that say otherwise.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The hole or small cavity after Bartholin gland removal is quite common and heals with time. No particular treatment is required and it will corrected soon.
