Is Androanogen Safe To Take For Hair Loss? Any Side Effect?

Hi, does androanogen tablets help recover from hair loss , i have been having hair loss for the past 2 years and today met a doc who suggested this tab once a day along with some other tabs that are iron and Vitamin supplements and she also asked me to follow a diet routine rich in iron , vitamins , proteins and carbo;s along with minoxidil spray 10%. Will this help and will there be any side effects in the normal functioning of the system, pls let me know?

Hi,
With the treatment prescribed by your dermatologist, it seems you are having male pattern androgenetic alopecia.
Androanagen is basically a nutritional supplement with vitamins, minerals and saw palmetto. Saw palmetto is supposed to prevent conversion of testosterone to 5 DHT thereby exerting its effects. Minoxidil helps in maintaining the hair fall in growth phase. However I feel minoxidil 5 percent would work as good as 10 percent.
You can continue with the prescription provided by your doctor as all the prescribed drugs are practically safe. However you need to continue treatment for four to six months to notice response.
