Is Angioplasty Or Bypass Suggested For Anginal Pian?
my father 70 years old with the history of angioplasty at the prximal end of LAD in the yr 2002, hypertention 30 yrs, diabetes melitus 20 yrs, ckd 5 yrs, dementia and perkinsonism for 1 yrs, BPH with urinery incontinence currently suffering with anginal pain n his angiogram showed around 70% block in right coronary artery bifurcation...now my question is for him which one is suitable? ...angioplasty or bypas?
If a new RCA lesion is the only stenosis or obstruction visible in the current angio and his previous stent is patent, Angioplasty or optimization of medication are the solution. Here, Coronary Byepass is not indicated at all.
