Is Ankle Pain In Left Foot A Symptom Of Subtalar Impingement?
I have been experienceing ankle pain on inside of my left foot while walking and climbing stair. My ankle seems to lock. No swelling. Might of rolled out my ankle recently, also fell recently but no injury. Injected into my subtalar joint about a week ago for inflammation, icing and wearing an aircast. Must admit l haven t been off my feet much. Kind of impossible with a busy life. Taking aleve daily. Not resolving. My question is could this be an sutalar impingment. Would the treatment be the same. How long before it resolves. Is there any possibility I would need surgery. Sorry, I know I should ask my MD but I am traveling and won t see him till next week. Thank to anyone who takes the time to answer.

These symptms are nonspeciifc and may indicate many disorders including the one you ve mentioned. YOu should do MRI scan to evaluate your joint and ligaments and then further treatment can be planned. Surgery is the last option of course.
