Is Anti TB Drug Right Medication For Pulmonary Shadow In X Ray?

i am 35 years man diagnosed as a case of ankylosing spondylosis with taking sulphasalazine for last 2 year,recently i have develop cough with productive sputum with fever and weight loss for 2 month,my esr is 90,mt was positive,chest xray revel pulmonary shadow suggestive ptb,my doctor start anti tb drug and stop sul pha salazine,is it correcet?

In my opinion you should first undergo sputum for AFB or bronchoscopy and BAL analysis. As pneumonia and TB both can cause pulmonary shadows so bacteriological diagnosis is important as TB treatment last for atleast 6 months. So better to confifm 100% before starting AKT. And you can definitely take both sulphasalazine and AKT togather.
