Is Antibiotics And Antihistamines Right Medication For Pharyngitis?

My one year old baby has been diagnosed with pharyngitis and been given antibiotics and antihistamine for treatment 3days ago. Her situation keeps getting worse especially at night after she had slept for few hours why is the medication not working? And why does it get worse at night after she sleeps for few hours?

Hello

Thank you for trusting HCM

Dear just check it out weather she is suffering only pharyngitis or lower respiratory tract infection also.

Anti biotic will start acting 24-48hours after intiation of treatment. If the organism is resistant to above drug so it wont respond. Sometimes the dose may be not sufficient to control the infection (due spil of medicine while administration). If not responding please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care.
