Is Arthroscopic Surgery Only Solution For Knee Pain?

My wife (48) has been suffering from knee (right) pains for the past two months. Yesterday she went for an MRI scan and we have the images. We can't get an appointment for another month with a doctor in order to review the scan and advise. I would like to send the images to a knee specialist for analysis and diagnosis as soon as possible. Before the MRI a knee specialist mentioned that she may need arthroscopic surgery.
