Is Aspirin Necessary For Life Long In Heart Attack ?

my father got discharged from hospital following an heart attack. he is been prescribed aspirin 75 mg once a day and i was told that should be taken life long. now my dad heart attack is cured. is it necessary to take the drug for life long?

jaroor lena hai, in fact our doctor advised my dad on the same thing and asked me also to take 75mg of aspirin daily after the breakfast , putting one tablet in one glass of water.

i dont think so...i have heard that asprin will cause gastritis..ans some side effects if we take..asprin..for long term..

Yo it is used as ablood thinner. It is very good in preventing blockage of blood vessels so it is given to prevent heart attack
