Is Backache, Stomach Cramping, Frequent Loose Bowels Related To Pre Labor Pain?

I am 2 days away from 37 weeks and i have had off and on lower back pain, constant upper back pain, stomach cramping, frequent loose bowels but when i go to the bathroom, not much comes out. I have been extremely agitated today. I went into the hospital yesterday for a nonstress test and they said everything is fine, no contractions on the monitor, but i can't help feeling like it is something more. The doctor's are an hour away, so i can't just keep going in and out to get checked. I know these are both symptoms of pre labor and just plain signs that labor is coming soon. Any ideas?

Hallow Dear,

You seem to be in painful prelabour. The pains therefore are not effective to cause the delivery as yet.

The feeling of defaecation you are having is due to the pressure of the descending head of the baby on your rectum.

Probably within a week to fortnight, you will go in established labour.

This seems to be your first pregnancy. First delivery is a process of about 16 + hours. So you need not be worried about delivering at home. You will reach to the maternity home within time.

I hope this reassures you.
