Is Bartholinitis A Sexually Transmitted Disease?

I have a bartholin gland cyst that keeps coming back, I ve had it on and off for about three years now. I ve seen many doctors and they just keep putting in a catheter, it s becam infected and it s very painful. I m at a loss of things to do I take bathes and do hot compressions, is there anything I can do from home to take care of this?

Hi.

Surgical drainage is a more definite means of treatment, when conducted by an experienced doctor it can prevent recurrences. This along with antibiotics and pain management medication can be a more effective form of treatment.
