Is Betadine Recommended In Case Of Scratch From A Dog?
My 3 month old lab mix scratched or bit my son in the arm while she was playing .. the pup got excited and jumped my 4 year old son .. when we were getting ready for i noticed the scrath on his arm .. i tried to make it bleed but it didnt i easbed it out with running water and germicidal soap twice and then poured aqua oxinada and swabbed betadine on the scratch .. today i found out the shoys were expensive and i cant afford it right now.. i very much worried .. can i wait for 2 weeks and observe the puppy first and if the pup is healthy should i not bother to get my son his shots.... or in 2 weeks can i just observe puppy then háve my son injected whether its rabid or not ... please reply thank you
Hi. As per your case history of dog bite my advice is - 1. Clean the wound daily with water and betadine solution. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. It is mandatory to take anti-rabiesvaccination. So go and get it from your doctor.
