Hi,
Bleeding during intercourse can happen due to several reasons like rough intercourse causing trauma to the local soft parts, infections of the vagina and cervix, erosion of the cervix, cervical polyps etc. To know the exact cause, a local examination needs to be done, a pap smear, swabs from the vagina and cervix taken along with urinalysis and routine blood counts. A sonogram of the pelvis, preferably in the trans-vaginal route may also be taken to assist in the diagnosis. Hope this helps.
