Is Bleeding In Ear Due To Jamming Cotton Swab In Ear While Cleaning Concerning?

Hi, I was cleaning my ear with a cotton swab and my sister pushed my arm accidentally. As a result the cotton swab was jammed into my ear. I felt an initial pain and then I noticed after removing the cotton swab that it was bleeding. Is this serious and how do I fix it?

Thanks for using Health Care Magic.

Hi , your clinical history is suggestive of trauma to ear drum.

Yes it is serious you need to take care of ear properly.Keep ear dry , don’t allow water go inside while bath. If you don't allow water & no cold , cough inbetween it will heal of its own in 7-10 days.
If you don’t get relief , ENT examination & investigation become essential.
Hope above information helpful to you , take care.
