Is Bleeding Normal Occurrence During Pregnancy?

Hi, i am just looking for some information on how common bleeding really is in pregnancy and what kind of chance of a successful outcome there is despite it. I had a heavy bleed lask week, the hospital found babies heart beat but said there was subchorionic bleeding and to come back in 10 days. I'm still bleeding, black blood now, a week later and still have to wait 4 days for a scan so very worried. Thanks for any information.

welcome to Health care magic.
1.Iam afraid that you are more to wards missed abortion - according to your symptoms.
2.Subchorionic bleed can be a risky pregnancy, at the same time continues bleed - is more towards bad sign.
3.I recommend not to wait, go to ER and get an emergency scan done, and evaluate well being of the pregnancy.
4.In future suggest to evaluate the risk factor ( hormonal / uterine pathology)
5.A regular followup is needed.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
