Is Bleeding Pieces Of Tissue After A Biopsy Of The Uterus Normal?

Hi - I had a pelvic exam on Thursday, and my ob did a biopsy on my uterus because I mentioned I'd been spotting after intercourse. (I'm 45) There was a small amount of bleeding, as he'd said there'd be, but now pieces of tissue are coming out. It looks like grey-blue skin on one side and bloody on the other. Is this just from the biopsy?
