Is Blocked Ears, Sore Throat And Pain While Swallowing Due To Some Infection?

I recently had the flu which I've recovered from but I still have blockage in my ears, sore throat, trouble swallowing, and now I'm burping. The pain swallowing actually went away for a few days but now its back and it feels like food is getting stuck on the way down. Do I have some kind of infection now?

Hi,
You are in the recovery stage from upper respiratory infection.
The infection might have spread to the ear and nasal sinuses and hence the stuffiness and ear block.Since you are in recovery no treatment needed for that.
But since then you are having burping which could be due to reflux disease, which might have started as a side effect of some tablets that you had to control flu.
The lumpy or sticky feeling might be due to 2 reasons
1. reflux disease, most probably due to this because you said you have burping.
2. recovering pharyngitis
My advice is to start on PPI like rabeprazole or pantoprazole on empty stomach and needs treatment for at least 6 weeks.
