Is Blood In Stool A Cause For Concern For An Anemic?

hello I am anemic to the point where I might need a blood transfusion and today when I have gone to the bathroom both times I have had blood in the toilet from me pooping and my poop hasn t been big and I was wondering if I should go to the hospital and get checked out and not worry about it

Hi there, yes it's a concern and you should take it caution as you are anemic the more the blood is lost the more HB will be decreased, the condition you are having is malena if you continue to experience such episodes so it's better to rule out the main cause which causing it so my advice is do the following
1.Do liver function test and Cogulation profile
2. Visit a medical Gastroenterologist to rule out the cause.
3. Do get the HB profile also
