Is Blood Pressure Of 150/78/68 A Cause For Concern?

I was sitting outside and my face started burning and went bight red and then my legs and arms followed with burning and itchy skin. I immediately went indoors, my face is still red and my arms and legs are still burning. I took my blood pressure and it was 150/78/68. What do you think it is?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Blood pressure with 150/78 mmHg states that your systolic blood pressure (upper reading) is higher than normal and diastolic blood pressure (lower reading) is normal.
By just one reading, it is not possible to label as person as hypertensive.
Blood pressure readings needs to recorded at least on two different occasions with proper rest and in supine position.
Hence, it is difficult to conclude based on the circumstances you have taken the readings.
Kindly consult Physician in this regard for proper monitoring and evaluation.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
