Is Blood Test Needed Before Changing Contraceptive Pill?
Hi. My daughter recently had a blood test ahead of changing the contraceptive pill she was on (to help with acne). She was told to have a blood test first as I was recovering from post knee operation blood clots and so maybe she should be careful about taking the Pill. I was also asked to do a blood test to see if there was some genetic link between us. Mine came back clear, but she is now being referred to a hematologist without any explanation. The referral letter suggests she should take someone to the appointment for support, but no appointments are available for at least 3 weeks... so we are now a bit anxious about this as we are very much in the dark. Do you have any suggestions as to what they might be looking for or have found?
I have gone through your history in detail and understand your concern fully. In her blood test maybe some bleeding disorder they will find out, so they refer her for hematologist opinion. If possible please share your reports, so we will be able to guide you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
