Is Bone Tuberculosis Contagious?

My colleague in office is suffering from rheumatism & bone tb in his middle finger. His finger keeps swelling during winter. He is taking medicines for it since last 8 months. He has also had tb a few years ago, maybe 5-7 years ago. Since he is a good friend of mine,we share food, tea, coffee etc, ie, we eat & drink from the same plate, spoon & glass. I have been sitting next to him for last 2 years. We spend 9 hours working together daily. Sometimes while speaking he come really close. I am apprehensive that while he exhales, coughs, sneezes or speaks, he might transfer the germs spreading into the air. By inhaling them i might get infected.

Are there any chance of my getting affected since i've heard that tb is contagious. What precautions should we both take & what tests do you suggest i should get done to see if i'm affected or not? Is there any vaccination fo tb? I am very worried about my health. Please do advice.
