Is Brain Atrophy Common Among The Elderly?

is brain atrophy common in a 48 year old? also cat scan says there is a patchiness to the white matter???? I have numbness in right arm, vibration in left leg and it feels like cold water dripping on my foot. I was in emerg for a stroke but didn t have one. did have one tia in 2013. emerg doctor says symptoms are consistent with ms and am most concerned about the atrophy and the patchiness.

I really appreciate your concern, brain atrophy may not be possible in this age group, but MS can be possible and to confirm this clinical examination and MRI are must, hope this information helps.
