Is Breaking Through While Exercising After Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy Normal?

I am 5 weeks out from total laparoscopic hysterectomy. My breakthroughs have been minimal the last week. My dr said I could start exercising again--running and biking. I m an avid runner/mtn biker. I rode my bike a few times and each time I m breaking through. Am I going to hard, or is this normal? I don t have any pain just this breakthrough. I m 5 6 , 120 lbs and in very good shape for 45. Thank you for your time.

Hello,

Occasional breakthrough bleeding is normal and eventually subside. You can comfortably exercise as long as there is no pain or other concerning symptoms.
