Is Bright Red Blood And Pain In Pubic Area Normal During Periods?

I am on my period 2nd day im normally only on for four days and all a sudden i have bright red blood very fresh and a pain i have never experianced which i feel is just above what i think to be my pubic bone - its feel like its from deep inside - is this normal. I am 25
