Is Brow Jelly Discharge, A Sign Of Early Menses?

Hi I'm not due my period untill the 8th about 2 hours ago I went to the toliet had a wee wiped and had a blob of brown jelly like blood when I wiped I fought this must be the start of a early period but had nothing since? Just wondering what this might be?
