Is Brown Black Spotting With Clots While Being On Implanon Normal?
Hi, I ve been on implanon since August 2013. About a week and a half ago, I got spotting. It was brown/black, lots of clots and I would wipe and see nothing so I thought it was over. But no. It would come back. It s really annoying. I just wanna know if it s normal for it to be that color? Before I got implanon, I had the depot shot. It s worried me lately. I have very bad mood swings and I wasn t put on the depot shot for sex or anything. It was to stop my period. I had painful cramps and just very moody. Seems like this isn t helping. But my question is, is it normal for it to be brown/black with lots of clots?
The Implanon or depot spots have break through bleeding, periods are no longer predictable, you may have spotting, that is normal. In spite of the breakthrough bleeding or spotting the implanon is effective.
For headache you can take acetaminophen (tylenol), spasmoproxyvon (spasmol) for cramps, for persistent mood swings you can contact your PCP, you may require other medications & physical examination.
