Is Brown Discharge Normal While Being On Implanon?

Hi, I m 20 and got the implanon bar about three weeks ago. This is the second time I ve had it. The first time, I had no period, no spotting, no discharge, absolutely nothing for the whole duration of having the bar. Tonight I ve had brown discharge I guess you d describe it, no blood so far. Does this mean I ll be getting my period, or is this a random thing that might happen from time to time?

Hello,

Slight bleeding and altered blood discharge is quite common while on implanon. Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself. If symptoms persists better to consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.
