General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, multiple management guidelines must be considered for such sports injury.
- Local wound care with sterile dressing
- Tetanus toxoid injection shot as per the previous vaccination status and the degree of wound impact
- Analgesic medications as diclofenac or tramadol hydrochloride
- Antibiotics as penicillin (mox or others) which helps tissue healing great along with prevention of secondary bacterial infection
- Rest to knee joint for a particular period of time till recovery

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
