Hi Im at work but just got a call that my Dad had a stress test today, there was blocked, they took him in for Cardiac Cath but once they got in, they found there was 90% blockage that was too close to the main artery so they can not put a stent in. Im a couple hours away from my parents so Im not there to ask the questions (my dad is 70 and very healthy, this is his first experience with any health issue), my quetsion is can he live with 90% blockage or will bypass almost certainly be necessary? My Mom is of the impression they will send him home with meds to make sure it does not progress any further. But I assume since it is a small country hospital (rated 3) that they are saying this is beyond our scope and we are sending you home until you can make other arrangements but Im just not clear any insight would be helpful
