Is Cake Baked With Plastic Lid In Oven Safe To Eat?

my friend baked a cake in her oven and forgot a small plastic container with lid was tucked at the back of the oven rack. it baked to a hard black ball with cake baking away. she removed the cake and tried to remove the plastic ball. is the cake good to eat?

I would recommend against it, as this can certainly result in consumption of undesired substances. We can always bake a new cake, but cannot undo the harm we do to our body in most cases.
