Is Catheterization Necessary For Any Blocks In Heart?

i went for a cataract fix and they detected irregular heart beat. then i had echo, not my first one, a nuclear stress test, a vascular test, all not bad , but detected a right bundle branch block, now they want me to have a catheterization, is this really necessary, i am 66, feel ok, did have a heart event a few years ago, but nothing was done, any ideas? thank you

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It may be best to have the procedure done.

Cardiac catherisation allows the doctor to assess various details about the heart such as: (1)the blood flow through the vessels to check for any blockages
(2)to check the oxygen levels in the heart
(3)to check the pressure in the heart

It would be able to check for any changes to the heart that may be contributing to the heart block.

I hope this helps
