Is Cefim-3 (200mg) Be Used During Pregnancy?

madam i am 3 month pregnent. i have urine infection. So my doctor suggest to take cefim-3 (200mg). but in the medicin booklet here mentioned that cefimixime should not be used in pregnancy unless considered essential by the physician. pls suggest me will it cause any harm to me?

From reproductive studies carried out in mice and rats, no evidence of impaired fertility or harm to the fetus as a result of intake of Cefim-3 (Cefixime) has been reported. There are no adequate and well controlled studies in pregnant women but Cefim falls under a group of drugs considered to be safe in pregnancy (Beta lactamines).
The risk might not be zero but if a physician sees more benefit than potential harm in taking it, it can be given.
It is not absolutely contraindicated during pregnancy.
