Is Cervical Cancer Contagious?

Was just told about a woman receiving chemotherapy for cervical cancer. She insists her now deceased husband gave this to her. Possibly through an STD. I opined that it wasn t contagious, for instance, and never heard about it causing cancer. Could you advise.

Hi
Thanks for trusting HealthCare magic for your health problems.

See, cervical cancer could be due to many causes like Human papilloma virus (HPV),chronic smoking, multiple sexual partners, long use of oral contraceptive pills as well as engaging in early sexual contact.
Among them HPV is common reason. It can be transmitted through vaginal or anal sex.
However In your scenario we can not exactly say it's because of her husband.
If we can rule out other reasons then probable conclusion can be made.
