Is Chemotherapy Required After Surgery To Remove Colon Due To Cancer?

had surgery removed 2 ft of colon 16 limp nodes the cancer went through intestines wall into the fat a little, said it is a high stage 2 all nodes were free of cancer it seams to be border line chemo or not. thinking don t want chemo but doc says over borderline a little maybe need chemo what to do?

Good to know that you have been declared cancer free, as of now. The reason as to why your doctor may have suggested chemotherapy, despite removing all the affected regions and the lymph nodes, is to make sure that the treatment kills all cancer cells and reduces the chances of spread, however minimal. And chemotherapy does just that. So its better to undergo the session of chemotherapy, as per your doctor's suggestion.
