Is Chest Pain In Teenager With Bicuspid Pulmonary Valve A Cause For Concern?

My 16 year old has a bicuspid pulmonary valve. He has been limited to not lifting more than 40lbs, but runnng is ok. He had his last checkup with the cardiologist a little over a month ago and a little blood was seeping back into his heart. He recently had chest pain that lasted a couple of minutes. I called his cardiologist and he said this is common pain for adolesence. Should I be concerned?
