I work in an office with a female co-worker, age 55 - 60, and she sniffs CONSTANTLY!! Other co-workers and I have asked her if she needs a tissue to blow her nose, have asked her if she needs to see a doctor for her sinus issues, etc., etc. We would just like to know if the chronic sniffling is a sign of something more troubling than sinus issues...
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
People with breathing problem like asthma, allergies, blocked nose, etc tend to sniff as they try to breathe better. Nothing worrisome. They can take some bronchodilator, which is a prescription medicine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
