Is Circumcision Necessary For A Toddler With Phimosis?

Hi , My name is Sandeep Sanaye . my question is for pediatric urologist , I have a 4 year old son with phimosis . We had followed a doctor and he had asked to massage it regularly, his mother had been doing that and the foreskin used to retract , but in between it had stopped retracting for few days so doctor gave us HHSONE cream , After using it the skin started retracting again , The question is do i need to do Circumcision is it necessary?. in case if medicine are not giving sufficient results in resolving phimosis your dr may consider small surgical procedures to resolve it
Circumcision is sometimes performed for phimosis, and is very effective indeed but there are many other surgical procedures including superincision ,subterincision and Preputioplasty and your surgeon will decide the best for the condition

finally i would strongly suggest you to keep medical treatment continue and discuss all modalities openly with your dr as in many cases of phimosis surgical procedure are very effective and gives permanent results
