Is Cold Along With Sore Legs Symptoms Of STD?
hi there, my friend is worried about going to a doctor because he doesn t think he has developed any serious symptoms, but the girl that he had intercourse with may have herpes. He has developed cold like symptoms and last night had sore legs. what you recommend him doing?

Yes cold and sore leg may be a symptoms of STDs most likely syphilis and gonorrhea
STD is most common in sexually active men. It occur at any age.
Following are the STDs disease
1. Syphilis
2. Gonorrhoea
3. Herpes
4. Human papiloma virus
5. Chlamydia
6. Hepatitis
7. Gonorrhea
8. HIV
It is transmitted through oral, vaginally and anal sex.
After infection symptoms occur with in 2-14 days.
For diagnosis you have to consult doctor and do testing for STDs:
1. Gram stain and culture
2. PCR and nucleic acid amplification test:swab should be taken from urethra
Following are the herpes of herpes as its look like in your case
1. Drugs:
Cetriaxone 500 mg Intra mascular stat and Azithromycin 1 gram stat, because to treat gonorrhea and chlamydia.
Clotrimazole creams can be used
2. Avoid sex till you clear from infection
3. Use safer sex practice: Use condom, Dental dams
4. Maintain hygiene after sex
5. If fever: Tablet Paracetamol 500 mg BD
6.Tablet cetrizine 5 mg BD orally
7. If not resolved, do screening test for all above disease.
