Is Collagenous Colitis A Type Of Cancer?

I have been diagnosed with Collagenous colitis. Is this a form of cancer? Can you explain to me what it is and what kind of treatment I will need. I can t see my doctor again untll late next month and I am so worried. I am a 76 year old female.

It is a kind of inflammatory process and not cancer. Antibiotics can be taken for symptomatic relief. Consult a gastroenterologist and he will direct you accordingly.
