Is Colonoscopy Necessary For 85 Year Old Having RBC Count Of 77?

My mother is 85 and she received 2 units of blood because of red blood cell count was at 77. She had a CT scan of the abdomen that did not reveal any bleeding and they now want her to have a colonoscopy in the near future. Is it wise to have a colonoscopy at her age. Thanks

Please mention units for your RBC count. It cannot be 77 only. Normal adult female it should be 4.5-5.1 million/cumm.
