You should not worry. Beetroot can color your stools.
Just to be doubly sure, observe the color of stools for the next few days before you use flush.
Hope this answers your question.

Psychiatrist Dr. Jonas Sundarakumar's  Response
Hello and thanks for your query.

Beetroot can cause a reddish or maroonish discolouration of the stool. This is normal. So, you don't have to worry about it.

You have mentioned that you had taken half a cup of tinned Beetroot the previous night and this quantity is sufficient to cause a maroon discolouration of your stool the next day. Since the consistency of your stool was normal and you don't have any other symptoms, you needn't worry about this.

Regards,
Dr. Jonas Sundarakumar
