Is Constant White Clear Discharge While Being On Birth Control Normal?

Do I have a hormone imbalance? I ve been on the lowest dose of birth control for two years now. I don t have frequent or regular periods, nor are they as heavy as they used to be. Iam 17 and Iam a collegiate athlete. I always have a constant wetness in my genital and there is a white-clear fluid always leaking onto my underwear. When this leak is heavy the fluid appears light-brownish. What is this? Is this normal?

Hallow Dear,

It is surprising to note that in spite of being on oral contraceptive pills, you are not getting your menses regularly. In fact these pills are prescribed for regularising the irregular menses. I hope you are taking the pills regularly. Please check.

The oral contraceptive pills contain Oestrogenic and Progestational compounds. Oestrogenic compounds are known to increase intrauterine and cervical secretions which come out of vagina. So increased secretions from vagina is a normal phenomenon while on oral contraceptive pills. Not an issue to be concerned of.

I hope this helps you.
