Is Constrained Movement In Left Side Normal After Surgery For Swollen Parotid Gland?

my mom had an operation on 25th march 2011...the case was of left parotid gland swelling...the operation was successful as doctor has said....and that doctor has decided to release her on 28th march 2011 tht is today morning.....the tumor was of 6 into 8 cm.... sir do u think that will it be ok to leave her so soon...nd am worried about the left part of her face its not moving freely like the right part...but doctor has suggested to do some oral exercise to make tht part free....

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain in case if there is no complication and she is stable with normal vital signs like blood pressure, heart rate,pulse and body temperature, then she can be discharged from the hospital with proper prescription of medication and physiotherapy demonstration..
I would suggest you to give her soft diet with ample of liquids and also the medications advised to her..
Doing oral exercises will help in retaining functioning and flexibility of muscles..
Get regular follow ups done with your treating physician.
Hopefully she will be completely recovered soon..
