Is Continuous Periods For 2 Months Normal After Coming Off Of Depo Shost?

Hi, I am 20 years old. I have been on the depo birth control for two years. For that two years I never had a period. I got off of the birth control almost a year ago and I just started my period two months ago and it hasnt stopped. Is this normal? At first it was very dark/brownish and light, it is now bright red and heavier.
