Is Cooling Down A Hot Drink With Outside Snow Dangerous?

We have someone who just tried to cool down a hot drink with snow from outside-- not realizing that it might have had a little driveway salt in it... How dangerous could that be and should we be worried? (it was about as much snow as your average snowball, and wasn't noticably discolored).
