Is Cortisone Injection Safe During Pregnancy For Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Hi I have carpal tunnel syndrome and I m due to go for a cortisone injection this afternoon,Iv just done a home pregnancy test which is positive will the cortisone injection affect my baby?I feel I need this this injection and Iv been in pain for a long time

Cortisone belongs to a group of medications called corticosteroids. It causes growth retardation in baby if taken during early pregnancy. So never take cortisone at this stage. Consult your doctor and tell about your pregnancy status. He/she might suggest you alternative treatment option for Carpal Tunnel’s syndrome.
